The inspiration for this business comes from my own love of creating a warm living space, either from scratch or by rearranging furniture and accessories. The challenge is always matching lifestyles with creative design ideas.

My fascination with interiors began as a child. My parents had a somewhat avante garde approach to decoration, always allowing me to choose the decor in my bedroom.


After enjoyable years in the fashion trade I became involved in the home interiors business, where my enthusiasm for interior design came to the forefront. This gave me the desire to share my expertise in this area with others and so SHAPPS & COUTTS was launched.

Just to show that we don't stand still, last year I entered both the London and Amsterdam Marathon 2009. This year I have so far only planned and have a place in the London event. I'm again following a rigorous training programme and raising money for Help a London Child Charity. So you can see that we are not a standstill sort of organisation. Additionally, on our occasional open days, we donate a percentage of our takings to Michael Sobel Hospice in Northwood.

We enjoy our web shop contacts and have continued to grow and have contact with customers from many parts of the world and well as UK.
